2012 Events

Arsenal v Sunderland 18th August 2012

The opening day of the 2012/13 season was upon us and we were there to witness life at the Emirates after Robin van Persie. Even with Arsenal's new attacking options, in Giroud, Podolski & Cazorla all on show, they were unable to break through a strong Sunderland defence. Game finished 0-0.

Silverstone - F1 Grand Prix 8th July 2012

Luckily for us the weather cleared up by Sunday, we took to the stands to have front row seats of all the action and witnessed Webber storm to an epic victory. We were based in the Brookland suite for breakfast, lunch & afternoon tea.

Mr N.L said "I really want to thank you and the "Team" for a really wonderful day out at Silverstone. We had a great conversation and enjoyed the day thoroughly. The planning and quality of the day was wonderful and I cant thank you enough."Back to top

Wimbledon – 30th June 2012

We were based in a Skyview suit on the back of centre court for the day, with a typical British summer upon us the roof was in full use and we got to witness the latest finish at Wimbledon ever, Murray's match against Baghdatis went on until 11:15pm.

Mr T.N said "I would like to thank Ladbrokes for the wonderful day we had with you at Wimbledon on Saturday June 30th. It really was an unforgettable experience, which Frank and I enjoyed immensely, and was enhanced by the care and attention shown to us by yourself. I am sure it will remain a conversation point between Frank and I for a long time to come."

Mr M.B said "Many thanks again for the hospitality, it was absolutely fantastic"

Mr B.M said “Thank you very much for Saturday, we both really enjoyed it. Shame we had to leave early especially as the match managed to conclude but was a great day regardless.” Back to top

Royal Ascot - Ladies Day – 21st June 2012

It was ladies day at Royal Ascot, the women and hats were out in force. The weather could have been better but it stayed dry for the Queens parade and luckily we were well sheltered for the races from our balcony.

FA Cup Final – 5th May 2012

Wembley was once again a cracking stage for the end of season Cup Final and we witnessed a smashing game against the two in form Cup teams of the season. Their league form may not have been up to scratch this season but they had both fared well in their domestic and European cup outings. It was Liverpool v Chelsea, for the FA CUP Final!

Man City v Man Utd, Premier League – 30th April 2012

When booking this event we didn’t realise our vital this match would be in the conclusion to the Premier League – It came down to be the title decider really. The atmosphere was unbelievable and you could have cut the tension with a knife.

Ladbrokes Goodwood Golf Event – 18-20th April 2012

We organised another smashing golf event this year at Goodwood House in Chichester. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t so good on day 1 but still everyone made it out and enjoyed the day. See below a few of the many comments we received after the event.

Ms. C.N that was present said...
“Thank you for your fantastic time at Goodwood it was a lovely couple of days. We both appreciated it totally. Everything was perfect ...Big massive thank you.”

Mr A.N said “Having arrived back at home after the Ladbrokes Goodwood Golf Event 2012, I wanted to place on record our appreciation for all of your team's hard work in putting together what turned out to be a truly memorable event. The venue was magnificent, the hotel and associated facilities offering everything that was promised in an environment steeped in history and with a rich sporting heritage. From the moment we arrived and handed our clubs over to our golfing hosts, to the time of departure when our cleaned clubs were handed back to us, we were offered the care and attention to detail that meant that we were free to thoroughly enjoy the wonderful facilities on offer to us.
Our room was perfect, allowing us the opportunity to relax and dry out in absolute comfort. The arrangements for playing golf were well thought out and presented the rare opportunity for us to play two rounds of golf accompanied by Golf Professionals who were most helpful, providing advice and guidance every step of the way round the two challenging courses. The food was superb, and special mention must be made about the stunning setting for the final evening's dinner, presentation and entertainment, it was truly awe inspiring and will live long in the memory.”

England v Ireland, Six Nations Rugby – 17th March 2012

We had a box at Twickenham for the last game of this year’s Six Nations , where the new look England took on Ireland in a thrilling battle, with England being victorious.

Cheltenham 2012

Ladies Day at any race meeting is great fun, but when we took a group of customers to the biggest racing festival of the year it made it even better. We had a private box and grandstand seats on the finishing post!

Mrs D.H said ”This is just a note to say thank you so much for the hospitality day we had a Cheltenham last week. Ray and I had a fabulous time and the day could not have been better (apart from the weather which was cold and foggy). A big thank you to Sally-Anne and the catering staff, the food was fabulous and the organisation was excellent. We had great seats in the Grandstand, and a TV in the private box. Fab food and champagne, we got to hold the Gold Cup too. We had a superb day and have not stopped talking about it with our friends and family since we got home.” Back to top

2011 Events

Chelsea v Arsenal – 29th Oct 2011

We attended one of the biggest derbys of the season, when Chelsea hosted Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Mr A.N said “I thought I should contact you to let you know just how much myself and my two guests enjoyed our day out as guests of Ladbrokes at the recent Chelsea V Arsenal game. Our day out was superb and I would personally like to thank you for facilitating such a terrific experience. That really was excellent customer care.”

St. Leger - September 2011

The 2011 Ladbrokes St. Leger is the highlight of the year at Doncaster Racecourse and one of the most important festivals in British Racing. Each September, the St. Leger is celebrated with four days of celebrations at Doncaster Racecourse.

Some of our VIP’s were lucky enough to experience this great event and here is what they had to say…

Mr M.N said "Can I extend my gratitude and thanks the Ladbrokes Hospitality Team for an exceptional days entertainment at the St Ledger last weekend. My guests and I had a thoroughly enjoyable day! Both hosts did a great job to make my guests feel welcomed and relaxed. It was particularly good that the table kitty came up trumps on the last race too. Mr D.C said "It was a superb day out and we were both looked after by the Ladbrokes representatives for the rest of the day. Needless to say we had far too much champagne!! Please pass on our thanks to all and we hope we did not misbehave too much so we might be invited again 1 day!"

Wimbledon - June/July 2011

The 2011 Wimbledon Championships took place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London from 20 June to 3 July 2011. It was the 125th edition of the championships, and the third Grand Slam tournament of the year. It was played on grass courts and was part of the ATP World Tour, the WTA Tour.

Take That Concert - June/July 2011

The most exciting reunion in British pop history gathered speed as dates for a brand new Take That Tour, Progress Live 2011, were announced at a press conference in London. Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark and Robbie confirmed that they will hit the road next year for a monumental 14-date summer stadium tour around the UK.

Aintree with Concert 2011 - June 2011

Aintree is the home of the greatest horserace in the world, the Aintree Grand National. Our VIP's got to experience Aintree Racecourse on Friday 10th June 2011 with a special live concert as well.

Some of our VIP’s were lucky enough to experience this great event and here is what they had to say…

Mr M.D said "Just a quick note to say thanks for arranging the Aintree trip last Friday. I'm a novice on the old nags but it was a great day. Anytime you need me to pop out to Gib let me know ... Us ex Royal Marines have a soft spot for the rock and the apes!"

Mr S.P said "Just a short note to say thanks for the great evening at the races. It was a great night the food was lovely and the drinks never stopped flowing. The singer Steve was very good and kept people entertained with a rendition of 70's songs and of course the Ladbrokes Hospitality Team were very professional. I took my daughter with me and she had the time of her life she thought it was fantastic we had recently been to an evening meeting at Cheltenham in the stands. So to be wined and dined in a box was a big step up. Once again thank you and the team very much for a great night out".

UEFA Champions League Final 2011 - May 2011

Barcelona claimed their fourth European Champions crown in style at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 28th May 2011 after beating Manchester United with a displays of skill, flair and attacking brilliance that was finished with three sensational goals.

Grand National – April 2011

Each year, horses line-up to tackle the awesome Aintree Course. Four and half miles, with 30 fence jumps, the Grand National is arguably the toughest test of horse and jockey in the world.
