St. Leger - September 2011

The 2011 Ladbrokes St. Leger is the highlight of the year at Doncaster Racecourse and one of the most important festivals in British Racing. Each September, the St. Leger is celebrated with four days of celebrations at Doncaster Racecourse.

Some of our VIP’s were lucky enough to experience this great event and here is what they had to say…

Mr M.N said "Can I extend my gratitude and thanks the Ladbrokes Hospitality Team for an exceptional days entertainment at the St Ledger last weekend. My guests and I had a thoroughly enjoyable day, although I do have to say the hangover on Sunday was a killer! I know we were perhaps a bit too merry towards the end of the afternoon (not helped by the endless supply of wine - not that I'm complaining) but I hope that we didn't cause any upset or embarrassment to your staff or other guests. Both hosts did a great job to make my guests feel welcomed and relaxed. It was particularly good that the table kitty came up trumps on the last race too. I am always grateful for the VIP trips you provide and long may they can continue. Please pass on my kindest regards the team. Take care and hope to see you again soon".

Take That Concert - June/July 2011

The most exciting reunion in British pop history gathered speed as dates for a brand new Take That Tour, Progress Live 2011, were announced at a press conference in London. Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark and Robbie confirmed that they will hit the road next year for a monumental 14-date summer stadium tour around the UK.

Aintree with Concert 2011 - June 2011

Aintree is the home of the greatest horserace in the world, the Aintree Grand National. Our VIP's got to experience Aintree Racecourse on Friday 10th June 2011 with a special live concert as well.

Some of our VIP’s were lucky enough to experience this great event and here is what they had to say…

Mr M.D said "Just a quick note to say thanks for arranging the Aintree trip last Friday. I'm a novice on the old nags but it was a great day. Anytime you need me to pop out to Gib let me know ... Us ex Royal Marines have a soft spot for the rock and the apes!"

Mr S.P said "Just a short note to say thanks for the great evening at the races. it was a great night the food was lovely and the drinks never stopped flowing. the singer Steve was very good and kept people entertained with a rendition of 70's songs and of course the Ladbrokes Hospitality Team were very professional. I took my daughter with me and she had the time of her life she thought it was fantastic we had recently been to an evening meeting at Cheltenham in the stands. So to be wined and dined in a box was a big step up. Once again thank you and the team very much for a great night out".

UEFA Champions League Final 2011 - May 2011

Barcelona claimed their fourth European Champions crown in style at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 28th May 2011 after beating Manchester United with a displays of skill, flair and attacking brilliance that was finished with three sensational goals.

Wimbledon - June/July 2011

The 2011 Wimbledon Championships took place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London from 20 June to 3 July 2011. It was the 125th edition of the championships, and the third Grand Slam tournament of the year. It was played on grass courts and was part of the ATP World Tour, the WTA Tour.

Grand National – April 2011

Each year, horses line-up to tackle the awesome Aintree Course. Four and half miles, with 30 fence jumps, the Grand National is arguably the toughest test of horse and jockey in the world.

Wimbledon Championships June/July 2010

The first visit in 33 years by Her Majesty the Queen, a record breaking occasion in the first round men’s singles between Isner and Mahut, and the sunniest Wimbledon in years! This coupled with centre court Debenture tickets to see Federer, Murray and Serena Williams and first class hospitality in the Champions Room Restaurant made this one to remember!

NFL Superbowl 2010

We sent a lucky VIP to the Superbowl where the New Orleans Saints beat Indianapolis Colts in the exhilarating final! Grand National

2009 Events

The Championships, Wimbledon 2009

Sun? Check... Talent? Check.... Pimms? Check. Check. Check!

As events go, it would take some beating to over come the experience of watching some of the worlds very best tennis players all on one court "Centre Court". Andy Roddick, Venus Williams and the British favorite Andy Murry. These guys played out of there skins to beat their opponents, and with the sun shinning and roaring atmosphere, things could not get better

Mr GL and his family said " A sincere thank you to Donna and Nicul for Saturday. We all had a great day, and managed to do something as a family that we wouldn't have considered doing on our own".

What a fantastic day! The intense and thundering sounds of the million pound cars in line with the outstanding views of the course truly made the atmosphere and experience one to remember.

Royal Ascot Ladies Day 2009
Royal Ascot, once again lived up to its expectations of being one of the main social events in the British racing calendar. The fashionable hats in line with the stunning outfits on show equally matched the exhilarating day of racing.

Steve, a VIP guest on the day said " Just a line to say thank you for a wonderful day. Dawn hit the bed as soon as we got home and was sound asleep within seconds.

A sure sign of a great day!

Grand National 2009
Grand National - Ok, so none of our guests backed the 100/1 winner of the big one, but everyone enjoyed the great box and tremendous hospitality at Aintree.

England v Scotland Six Nations 2009
Four VIPs and their guests where invited to witness what can be argued to be the must see match of the Six nations tournament. The two sides of slightly similar circumstances faced off in their final matches of the Six Nations, with so much hanging on the result not only for the players but also one coach.

England Vs New Zealand, Twickenham Green Room; 29th October 2008
The Green Room, a place that lived up to its expectations. Our hosts Lawrence Dallaglio and Austin Healey ran the days proceedings , and were joined by a number of surprise star guests. Pre-match talks brought humor and entertainment whilst we delved into a full course luncheon. The England teams performance, lacked in power and determination something the New Zealand team brought with them on the day. Nevertheless despite the result, the post match entertainment and drinks ended our day on a winning note. Here are a few words, one of our VIPs had to say about the day's events.

Willmott Dixon Day featuring The Ascot Food Fair ; 11th October 2008
Willmott Dixon Group Day brought the curtains down on Ascot's flat season. With a full day of racing, the day also hosted the second annual Ascot food Fair.

Our VIP Club members were able to shop around, purchasing locally produced items from county suppliers. Over 30 stands were located on the Plaza Lawns selling cheeses, specialty breads, cakes, ciders, wines, pasta, preserves, flowers, game and much, much more.

The box was lovely overlooking the winning post, another excellent day out.

What a day, our Lucky VIPs received the VIP treatment at the British Grand Prix, the action alone brought each VIP to the edge of there seats, as they experienced the excitement and intensity the grand prix had to offer.

Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday Concert, Hyde Park, Friday 27th June
Our VIPs had a fantastic time, in helping Nelson Mandela celebrate his 90th Birthday. In one of the most talked about concerts of the year, there was a huge line up though out the evening, ranging from U2 to Amy Winhouse. Will Smith hosted the concert, and he undoubtedly brought laughter and tears though out the evening

The rehabilitated England cricket team took on New Zealand in the second test match at Old Trafford.. It was a striking affair, especially after England’s WIN in New Zealand; the England cricket team raised the roof and reclaim the glory of 2005.

Manchester united Vs Barcelona 29th April
Machchester United and Barcelona both went head to head in search for a place for the UEFA Champions league Final. Arsenal v AC Milan, Emirate Stadium; 20th February:
Ladbrokes VIP Club members had the chance to win ticket to enjoy high-flyers Arsenal take on the cream of Italy and soak up the exhilarating atmosphere as the Champions League started to get serious.

Congratulations to Robert Z from Sweden who managed to win these exclusive tickets as well as flights and accommodation..

Around up of December December was a busy month with Ladbrokes Casino taking our VIP Club members to a mixed selection of events and sporting occasions, we had a great day's racing at Kempton Park, enjoyed England take on the Rest of the World to celebrate the PFA's Centenary, plus rubbing shoulders with the great and the good at the Gala Dinner after the match.

Our VIP Club members also got to enjoy Arsenal v Chelsea, Chelsea v Valencia plus going to see Take That's reunion tour, in both London and Manchester. We also soaked up the fantastic atmosphere at the Ladbrokes.com World Championship of Darts in Alexandra Palace; plus teaming up with Ladbrokespoker.com to take our VIP members to the Final of the Poker Millions, hosted in the Grosvenor Marriott, with full hospitality laid on... phew! All that in one month. How will we follow that in 2008?

London Theatre Day, 24 November 2007
Starting with the London Duck tour, a slap-up lunch and then the spectacular show, Joseph, we experience the best of London. Christine and her family said "We have just got our breath back at the end of a fabulous day of events. The DUK tour, the brunch at Christophers and the seats at Joseph along with the champagne and goodies were all great. Thank you so much to you for taking us along and Thank you to Ladbrokes for providing a great itinerary". We're glad it was such a Successful event.

Arsenal v Man Utd, Emirates Stadium

DW and family jetted in from Ireland to watch the game of the season from the comfort of Arsenal stadium's new Club Level seats. The sensational 2-2 draw was enjoyed by all, with DW thanking us for the tickets and stated "It was a wonderful game and we all enjoyed it so much". Back to top

The torrential rain didn't dampen our spirits as we splashed our way around the marvellous Selsdon Park golf course. Tony C, Tony B & Chris C, playing with Pro Greame Clark, won the Pro-Am Event. Coming in on Par, which given the conditions was a fantastic achievement. Congrats lads.

The Gala Dinner went off spectacularly - I'll not mention the so-called comedian. Anthony B thanked us for the "top notch hospitality" and Robin G appreciated being given the "5-star treatment" and pointed out that "Ladbrokes hospitality is not for the publicity, it is 100% real". We're delighted the event went so well and look forward to a bigger and even better event next year. Back to top
