Spanish Blackjack

There are many varieties of online blackjack played throughout the world and Spanish Blackjack provides a few more exciting twists on the original blackjack rules.

In Spanish Blackjack, as with traditional online blackjack, the aim is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer's hand going bust. In Spanish Blackjack, you can only bet one hand at a time. Blackjack is when your hand contains an Ace and a card with a value of ten. It is the strongest hand in Spanish Blackjack, and automatically stands. It cannot be beaten.

It is played with what is known as a Spanish Card Deck. Unlike the standard online blackjack deck of cards, each deck of cards in Spanish Blackjack consists of 48 playing cards – a 52 card deck minus the four 10 cards. Each deck is shuffled before every game of online blackjack.

An American Hole Card game, the key rules in Spanish Blackjack compared to normal online blackjack are:

• It is played with eight Spanish Card Decks


• Dealer peeks on 10 value cards and Aces


• Late surrender option


• Dealer does not stand on soft 17


• Bonus payouts available.

Clicking the Surrender button enables you to give up half your original online blackjack bet amount for the privilege of not playing out a hand. For example: use the Surrender option if you think you are going to lose the hand.

If you win a Blackjack you are paid out at odds of 3:2 on your original bet. If you have a winning hand but not a Blackjack, you are paid out at odds of 1:1 on your original bet.

If you lose against the Dealer's Blackjack and have taken Insurance, you are paid out at odds of 2:1 on your Insurance bet.

Certain combinations of cards, known as Bonus 21 hand combinations, give you special payout odds.

Minimum bet: £1.00
Maximum bet: £200.00
